Watch Group

With the generous support of Standard Chartered Bank, we are able to take children to many of the more remote parts of the Falklands, and to maintain a programme of activities throughout the year.

These activities incorporate our organisational conservation priorities of Marine Management, Habitat Restoration, Development, and Biosecurity and Invasives.

The children are educated and enthused about these topics through activities such as rock pooling and beach cleaning, tussac planting, learning to understand the impacts of people on the natural world, and thistle eradication. These activities are recorded in their quarterly ‘Rocky’s News’ newsletter.

Plans for the future are to incorporate an education centre for the Watch Group into our new building.
